Tour of Duty (ToD)

Brief :- 
Tour of Duty is a new proposal by Indian Army, that allows civilians of our country (India) to join the Indian Army for three years. The proposal is yet under process but it has gained popularity a lot. It is also termed as internship with military. The proposal of ToD is an effort made by Indian Army to attract the best talent in the country and provide opportunity to serve the motherland with pride.
* In case of casualties, candidate will be treated as service person, pension will be provided. 

How to join :-
There will be written examination for officers and soldiers as well (Not as NDA or CDS). 
For officers :-
No. Of posts :- 100 (Men and Women) 
Selection via :- SSB
(might be slightly different from earlier) 
For soldiers :-
No. Of posts :- 1000 (Men, probably women) 
Selection based on physical strength 
(Might be slightly different)

7. Economically good for the Indian Army. etc. 

There are so many benefits of this scheme. At the end, according to CDS, there will be no impact on the other services by this scheme.
