Dog in the Fight or Fight in the Dog

India is a multicultural land, where God has been walked for years in different era. The richness of the culture of the nation has been described by many of the historians. As Muslim, Persian invaders came to our country henceforth our culture getting diluted and became of its worst during British era. We had been brought up with watching Ramayana & Mahabharata. Our God had fought for territory in Mahabharata whereas Chinese had read 'Tripitakas', which is about the teachings of peace and spreading love. But the scenario has been reversed since Indian independence.

Background :-

During early decades of republic India had faced war with China after the bilateral talk. The famous slogan "Hindi Chini Bhai Bhai" was on the lips. This slogan was just pretense for us. We have walked on the similar path again. Yes, you are getting well, I am taking it to the face-off at Galwan valley in eastern Ladakh leading casualties on both sides including 20 soldiers have been martyred from Indian Army and more than 35 soldiers from People Libration Army (Officially not declared yet). Circumstances are not favourable for the nation. Where in one hand, entire country is busy to get rid of Corona pandemic emerged from China and in other hand, we are facing economic slowdown in the country ad interim military face-off in Galwan valley.
India is facing a serious border issue with neighbouring countries. We had engaged with Pakistan's army and with Chinese Army (PLA) ab initio and now on Nepal border. If I talk about our relationship with Pakistan, it is not a unfamiliar thing for us. But as I think, we are being divided by others choice and some benefitted politicians of that time. You know one thing, our border has been defined by such people who had never been to India before that. Here I would like to ask, how could anyone define the border of such country where they hadn't been before? Actually, they don't know the length and breadth of the nation. Why am I telling, it was a planned move because western countries were watching us with eagle's eye. Then, India had produced a numerals of gems like J. C. Bose, S.N.Bose, C.V.Raman, R.N.Tagore and many more. We were growing in every dimension. They had guessed the talent of the upcoming generations. So, a very famous game had been played by them on the national front i.e divide and rule. They are successful in their plan. If we talk about the geography of United India, one of the door of the country were opening near Iran border i.e we could have gotten the crude oil through the pipelines directly, that might have some positive economic effect. On other hand we were strongly focussed on cottage industry, that must have been a brand through out the world. Most importantly, arms industry of west is running because we are in the battlefield today. They are boosting their economy by selling arms. If they want peace in the world, then why there is supply of weapons in the world market. You can see by your raised eye in the world that all the developing nations are in the battlefield whether it is India or Pakistan, Gulf nation or Afghanistan, or Palestinian.

Galwan Face-off :-

Amid Major General level talks at Moldo, eastern Ladakh regarding the conflicts at four patrolling point (PP) 14, 15, 17A, North bank of Pangong Tso and Chusul had agreed on limited disengagement in some of the places but ended with the Galwan valley face-off including 20 Indian soldiers martyred in the clash. Though, both of the countries has agreed to disengage after the Corps-Commander-level-talks.

In a nutshell :-

Source :- Wikipedia

After independence, India had signed 'Panchasheel Agreement' having five principles of peaceful co-existence with China in 1954. In a result, within a decade the integrated relationship turned into differentiated calculus at each point. War of 1962 with China had not left a single stone unturned to prove this agreement was just a pretense. After knowing it well, we had started trade with them, and today's conditions is we are relying on them. At present, we are sharing common stage in BRICS, SCO G20 etc. And we have common intrest as well like development of Asia, eradicating terrorism and many more. But when the world was talking about to ban terror group like JeM and ban on Masood Azhar, China used their veto power to save them. You could understand the dual behavior of China over banning the state sponsored terrorism. Afterwards, we had faced Doklam issue. We had faced numerals of such issues and resolved too.

China is one of the leading exporter in the world. To run their business smoothly, they are working on their ancient trade route i.e "Silk Route or Belt & Road Initiative" to reach Europe through the roadways and many of countries have appreciated the steps. Another project is China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) to build infrastructure in Pakistan for their own trade purpose, unfortunately this can be used strategically by Pakistan Or China during war against India. Meanwhile China has tried to besiege India by the project called "String of Pearls " in Indian Ocean Region (IOR) to regulate the movement of ships and trade in IORs. China had also not good relation with their neighborhood as a result of South China Sea dispute. India has "Iron Curtain" and "project 73" to counter it and India has been succeeded till now and it will in upcoming days as well due to their international relations.

India-Nepal Relations :-

The relationship between both is popularly known as 'Beti-Roti Sambandh' because most of the import of Nepal is from India itself. Recently it come into the light of territory dispute. According to the Treaty of Sagauli (1816), the land east of Mahakali river is under the territory of Nepal and rest of it as Indian territory. Nepal claims that the origin is in the higher reaches of hilly territory, and thus, the regions of kalapani and Lipulekh belong to them.
The issue came in light as new road to Maansarovar has been Innaugrated by MoD Rajnath Singh. According to Nepal's PM K.P.Sharma Oli, India has enchroached Nepal's territory since 1962 and should return it.

As India's perspective, infrastructure was required in that territory because of the effective possession of it by India for last 60 years. And it has strategic importance and quickest link between New Delhi and Tibetan plateau. This road is also important for Pilgrims who trek across the border with China every year to visit Mount Kailash. Even China has recognised that there is India's sovereignty by agreeing to expand trade through Lipulekh pass.
What to include :-

As I think, in international relations, neither the existence of permanent friend nor enemy, only thing permanently exists is permanent interest. Sudden unstablity in the country are the byproduct of revocation of article 370 in Jammu &Kashmir and bifurcation of it into the Union Territories. Nepal's PM was troubling with the unsuccessful ordinance and COVID-19 challenges. Due to failure of his internal politics of the nation, they got an opportunity to play a political move to divert the attention of party rivals and rest of the population towards the patriotism and played up with national sentiments against India.
Good foreign relations is requirement of a nation to trade and commerce. India has done so much to improve bilateral relationships between different countries and more efforts are needed like 2+2 talk is required with China. I hope India will come up with this talks in later years.
