Equality, a hope !

By:- Ashish Kumar

Introduction :-

From the ancient times, our society were being structured into a male dominant society, where men are still being assumed as bread winner. Our society is being hollowed by a parasite called patriarchy. Nature creates diversity but not the hierarchy or inequality. For example, men are superior to women, rose vs sunflower etc. As per my view, there is nothing called superior or inferior in context of natural things. We are born with our own fragrance and we are investing our life for making similar identity instead of spreading fragrance of own.

Rusting the gen. next :-
According to the Article-14 of Constitution of our country i.e India, all the citizens of the nation are equal before the law, irrespective of their sex, caste, religion, race etc.
If we talk about dual behavior of society towards women, that has caused an imbalance in maintaining the world into a systematic order. There are lots of cases of women discrimination in the society which is unethical as well. As we can see in, Sati, Dowry system, Child marriage etc. People had fought a lot to eradicate such issues from the society. There are numerous leader had raised their voice to eradicate it. As for Buddha, prophet Muhammad, Gandhi, Mahtma phule etc had talked a lot in their philosophy.
Patriarchy is a thought process, that makes male intolerant against women. There are many places in the world, women are being assumed to be Incompitent w.r.t men. As I know, Harvard University had took 237 years to enroll women after installation and similarly, Cambridge University had took even more about 260 years to enroll for women. Even today, most of the girl student's higher education is being decided by the male members of their family. Girl child are being aborted on the daily basis. As I think, there are women who are infected with the disease of patriarchy in form of rape victims, acid attack victims, married women are being beaten by their husband, etc. These are the real issues of the society, which is a result of patriarchal mindset.

Panacea of illness :-

Either there is extra-freedom for a men in an independent nation or women are being deprived of it.
There are few steps that may leads to diminish it not totally but may have marginal effect.

1. Removal of structural reservation i.e if you see the Prime Minister, President, Chief Justice of India etc. There are almost no women representative in a Democratic nation or they are on the finger count.

2. Land and monetary benifit to the male members of a family only.
Though SC had clear verdict over it.

3. Education for everyone as our Constitution says.
No discrimination over gender basis.

4. Enforceable laws for the wrong deeds, irrespective of gender.
It includes banning of dowry system, child marriage etc.

5. Transformation in movies content. It should not be produced as defaming any gender.
Movies create or change thought process of a society.

6. Giving opportunity to the women to present herself in every aspects of life.
Specially in those field, where it is considered as women are incapable of performing that act.
Recently, SC has approved women for permanent commission/ Command posts.

7. Raising funds or NGOs for depressed class
They need special attention.

8. Need of ethical change in the society.
It could be proved as a walk ahead, where posterity would feel free to walk further more.

A closing note :-

Patriarchy has made us unilateral in our daily life. Men has control over resources, decision making, ideology and many more. Men don't born like that but they are being manufactured. By patriarchal mindset, men are transforming their body into arms. Women also plays an important role to make them transform into a live arms.
I, personally, don't want to defame men category of the society but I do have fight with the patriarchal mindset. In return, I would never ask for matriarchal society but do ask for equality for the society as discussed in the Constitution. Women are raising their voice for it and time has come that there should be equal participation in every aspect in the society. So, men should also participate in it and raise their voice against wrong doing in the society.

"Cultures don't make human beings but human beings do make cultures".
Lack of freedom teaches us to fight for small things. If today we would raise voice for it, posterity will take a step ahead to change the notion and will nurture a non-discriminated society. Then, people will be in search of partner 'for the life' not 'of the life'.
